John Scholes est décédé paisiblement, entouré de sa famille, le 11 juin 2024, à l'âge de 83 ans. Il était le fils de feu Harold Scholes et de feu Helen MacGuire. Il fut précédé par son frère Merlin.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Andrée Pilon, sa fille Sarah et son fils Michael (Mélanie Bridgeman), ses petites-filles Emma et Olivia Knapp, son neveu Jimmy et ses amis.
Des funérailles et un enterrement privé auront lieu ultérieurement.

My deepest sympathy for the loss of your John and a member of the Sherbrooke Hospital family. He was such a pleasure to work with and our coffee breaks were full of laughter. The patients adored him too. He is one of our best memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Wishing you courage and love of family and friends.

I have known John most of my life. We went to school together at Sawyerville High School and graduated from nursing school at Sherbrooke Hospital where we both worked. I also worked with Andree on Third Floor for a few years before moving to Montreal, years ago. John was such a caring, good-natured, good- hearted, hard-working man. We both had an interest in the Royal family of England and shared some hearty laughs together in these later years when we had some good telephone conversations.
Rest in Peace Dear John, you have certainly earned it.
