With great sadness, we announce the passing of Robert Warner Hall who left us on October 14, 2024, at Hôpital et Centre D'Hébergement D'Youville in Sherbrooke, QC at the age of 93.
Robert lost his wife of almost 64 years, Margaret, just a few short months ago, and was predeceased by his parents Robert Hall and Hilda Hall (née Warner) and his siblings Tom and Valerie. He is survived by his siblings Carole and David (Paulette), his children Barbara, Stewart (Chantal), Catharine (Glen) his grandchildren Jonathan, Cindy, Margaret, Andy, Nicole, and Owen as well as his great-grandchildren. Robert loved nature and spending time with family. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews and other members of the Hall and Stewart families who have remained close and extremely supportive.
Expressions of gratitude go to the Manoir St-Francis and Hôpital et Centre D'Hébergement D'Youville for the amazing care they provided for Robert.
The family will receive condolences at the Cass Funeral Home at 3006 College Street, Sherbrooke, QC from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. Refreshments will follow in the hall at Hope Community Church, 102 Queen Street, Sherbrooke, QC. The burial will be held at a later date due to the travel distance to the Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery in Irlande (Maple Grove), QC.
Robert was a big supporter of nature programs like the Trans Canada Trail (https://tctrail.ca/) community outreach programs like Community Aid (https://communityaid.ca/donations/) and the Maple Grove Anglican Cemetery Foundation https://www.canadahelps.org if anyone would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers.
