James Ronald Godfrey, age 91, of Sherbrooke, Quebec, passed peacefully into heaven on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Grace Village, Sherbrooke, Quebec.
Born April 18, 1928 in Toronto, Ontario, he was the son of the late Frederick James Godfrey and Mary Barrie Fairweather Coull. Hiking, bird watching, and camping with his family were among his favorite activities. He also enjoyed quiet times by himself collecting stamps and doing crafts.
James is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Nancy Mae Oliver. He was predeceased by his sister Lorraine (Roy) and his daughter Priscilla (Christopher). He is also survived by his children Jonathan (Sylvie), Stephen (Chrystal), Philip (Anik), and Esther (Stéphan-Pierre), as well as by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended-family members. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to many.
