BOYNTON, John

Peacefully at the Connaught Home, North Hatley, QC, on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the age of 93 years.

John Charles Boynton beloved husband of the late Dorothy Margaret (Peg) Chitty. John was the loving father of Donald (Wendy) and Peter (Sue-Marie) and cherished grandfather of Sean-Paul. John is survived by his brother Gordon and was the dear uncle of Roger, Everett (June), Orma (David), Mary (David) and also of several great nieces and nephews.

In respect of his wishes, cremation was held. In keeping with John’s dedication and deep relationship to both churches in Georgeville, visitation will be held at the Georgeville United Church, on July 9, 2016 from 1 to 2:45 p.m.  A Legion Service will be held at 2:45 p.m. Veterans please attend. Service will be followed by the funeral service at St. George's Anglican Church at 3 p.m. The Rev. Canon Dean Ross officiating, assisted by the Rev’s Deane and Doreen Moffat.

Interment will follow at the MacPherson Cemetery. As memorial tributes, donations to the Georgeville Historical Society, 4600 Ch. Georgeville, Georgeville, QC J0B 1T0 or to the charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
