Lt. Col (Ret) Donald Bellehumeur

(1941-2023)

At the age of 82, Donald passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side.

Left to mourn are his wife Lucie Régimbald; his son Stephen (Janet Wilding) and his daughter Tanya (Brian Allatt); his beloved grandchildren Zoé, Charlotte, Jacob (Mikayla Johnston), Emma Magdalena, Noah, Micah, Priscilla-Ève and Gabrielle.

Also left to mourn are his sisters Sylvie, Lise and the late Suzette; his brothers Michel and the late Jude (Ginette Boutin); his goddaughter Caroline and his godson Jordan Christopher.

There will be a visitation Friday March 3 at Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St, Sherbrooke (Lennoxville) from 7:00-8:30 pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 4 at Saint-Elisabeth Church, 3115 Capelton Rd., North Hatley, at 2:00 pm, with visitation one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Fondation Rock Guertin (rockguertin.com) or Wounded Warriors Canada (woundedwarriors.ca) would be appreciated by the family.

My initial shock and remorse have been replaced by so many fond memories: the parties we attended together at the RCOC Officers Mess; the night he woke me up to announce that you had accepted his proposal; the week-end of celebrations (yes, the whole week-end) for your wedding; when he sold me his VW; when he convinced me to succeed him at the 51 Service Battalion. Those are good memories and I hope that you find the strength to also remember the good times and the exceptional life that he had and that you had together.

On s'est connu au Club Epargne-Femmes (1985-86?) La dernière fois que je t'ai rencontrée, tu faisais du bénévolat chez Aube-Lumière. Je garde un bon souvenir de toi.
