O'LEARY EVANS, Marina

In her 91st year entered into eternal rest on February 19, 2025 at Grace Village. Beloved wife of Richard (Dick) Evans for over 69 years. Dear mother to Angela (Graham), Jennifer (late Bruce), Thomas (Luminita), Richard (Jennifer) and Timothy (Dione), grandmother to 13 and great grandmother to 5.

Marina was the firstborn of 4 daughters to Mary McKay and Hazen O’Leary of Fredericton NB. She was predeceased by her sister Carol (late Eric) and is survived by sisters Sue (late Bob) and Alice (Gary).

Marina filled her life with being and doing. Being a committed and caring partner to Dick, devoted to family, loving her home and garden and the peace of life in the country where she made many friends. Many happy times were spent on the farm verandah, enjoying the view and company of family and friends.

She and Dick were blessed by over 30 years of retirement living, allowing them to travel back and forth across Canada visiting family. Their shared enjoyment of travel took them to 3 trips to Great Britain and Ireland and many trips through New England, always exploring heritage homes and gardens.

Marina will be missed by friends made in Lennoxville United Church UCW and in Milby Women’s Institute. Marina was proud of the contributions her children have made throughout their lives and how this tradition is carried on through each succeeding descendent. The tradition of her loving heart and goodness will reach far into the future.

The family are deeply grateful for the kindness and care received from the staff at Grace Village.

A celebration of life will be planned in spring.
