PERKINS, Thelma Joan (nee Webb)

Joanne, devoted and much loved wife of Chester Perkins, passed away at the Wales Home, Richmond, QC on Saturday November 21st, 2009. Joanne was born in Danville, QC on July 23, 1931, the younger daughter of the late Elton and Laura Webb of Asbestos, and sister of the late Luvia Webb and the late Charles Webb (Margaret Healy). Along with her husband, Joanne is survived by her loving children, Kenneth (Darlene) of Bear River, Nova Scotia, Ruth (Wayne) of Walterboro, South Carolina, James (Shana) of Kanata, Ontario, and Esther of Toronto Ontario. Also 12 grandchildren and her brother Merton Webb (Muriel) of Danville QC, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. The family appreciates the kind and loving care Joanne received during the 4 plus years at the Wales Home while Alzheimer's Disease was causing her mind and body to waste away. Resting at the Dupuis Funeral Home, 148 Daniel Johnson St., Danville, (819) 564-1750, where friends may visit on Wednesday November 25th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and on Thursday from 1 to 2 PM. A memorial service will be held on Thursday November 26th at 2 PM, with her son James Perkins officiating. Interment in the Danville Protestant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Wales Home Foundation, 506 Rte 243N, Richmond, QC J0B 2H0 would be greatly appreciated by the family.
