BLUE (NEE DONOVAN), Anne

1929 - 2025

It is with saddened hearts that we mourn the passing of Anne Blue, who passed away peacefully on January 11th at the Grace Village at the age of 95. She is the beloved wife of Harry Blue (deceased), and loving mother of Mary Elizabeth Blue. Mother-in-law to Kathy, the late Christine, Martine (Art McMillan), Sylvie (Tom Hunting), Michael (Carolynn Price), Patrick (Monique Dallaire), Bridget, Maureen, Martha (Peter Davis), and Theresa (Mario Maciocia). As well as Grandmother and Great Grandmother to many wonderful children and adults.

She was an avid golfer, curler, quilter, and quick witted Skipbo player, who loved to dance (or jitterbug as she called it), brunches after church, and socializing with her dear friends around a good cup of coffee.

A retired nurse from Sherbrooke hospital, she was always involved in some organization helping people, or a new hobby to keep her busy. She had a witty sense of humour, a sparkling smile, and a real zest for life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St, Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Saturday, February 1st from 2 to 4 p.m. The funeral and burial to take place later in the year.

The family wants to extend a special thank you to all the wonderful caregivers, nurses and staff at The Grace Village and The Renaissance Manoir St. Francis for their loving compassion and care through out the years.

Anne and I started to work at the Sherbrooke Hospital on the same day, January 5, 1970. We worked on the same floor for many years. She was an amazing nurse and friend. Her smile was infectious! I have so many great memories of her. Makes me happy to know that she is with Harry again.❤️ Love you Anne.
