HEALY, Francis Eric

1941 - 2022

It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Francis Healy on March 8, 2022, at the CHUS Fleurimont. Eldest son of the late Ralph Healy and late Aline Lemoine.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 51 years, Peggy Sterling, daughter Angela (André Viens) and only grandchild Emmelee.

Francis also leaves behing his siblings: Laurel (late Hartley Gunter), Allan (Rose) and Heather (Eric Davidson); sister-in-law Susan (Gerry Munday) along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by brother Robert.

A funeral service and burial at Maple Grove cemetery, Melbourne will be held at a later date.

We would like to thank the paramedics for the quick response and the quality service and compassion from the staff of the ninth floor Intensive Care Unit at CHUS Fleurimont.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CHUS Foundation for the Cardiology department.

Francis’ Family

I always enjoyed stopping at the farm to talk with Francis and look at his Hereford cattle when I was in Richmond visiting my parents. Francis was always friendly and in a good mood when I saw him.

One Christmas he hitched up his two horses and took our family for a sleigh ride through his pastures.

My family used to visit his sugar shack each Spring to sample his syrup - which we all thought was the best we ever tasted.

I will remember Francis as a man dedicated to hard work with a passion for farming - which he knew so well - and who was kind and thoughtful.
