MACKIE, George

Passed away suddenly at his home in Perth Ontario on Saturday, November 1st, 2008, at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of the late Minnie Hannah Rycroft and cherished father of Gladys (Mike Ryall), and George Jr. (Tuffy) both of Perth, Michael of Stanstead and the late Deborah Mackie. Loving grandfather of: Anthony (Charlene) and Matthew Rediker, Kandy, David, , Amber Makie , Gail and Tammy Chase; great-grandfather of Christian Rediker. George will also be sadly missed by his brother James (Shirley) of LaSalle, Qc, along with his brother-in-law Norman Laurent, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pre-deceased by his sister Mary Jane McKellar. He was the son of the late James and Marie-Ange (Roy) Mackie. George loved to go for drives and watch sports on television. He enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels and all other animals that he came in contact with. George always had a smile on his face and kind words for anyone. We are truly blessed for having him in our lives. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 dufferin, Stanstead 819-876--5213/www.casshomes.ca on Wednesday, November 6, 2008 where friends may visit from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. . A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, November 6, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Yvon Malouin offictiating.
